ABC/Lou RoccoMacklemore and his wife Tricia have some “glorious” news: they’re going to be parents for a second time.
The couple revealed the news in an Instagram post designed to appear like one of those trendy “gender reveal” videos.
Instead, it was a cleverly disguised concert announcement.
“Tricia is pregnant, and today we are going to find out the gender of our child,” says the rapper in the video. He, Tricia, the couple’s two-year-old daughter Sloane and family members then gather around a cake that’s half pink, half blue, with “Girl” written on one side and “Boy” on the other.
Macklemore cuts the cake, but instead of revealing the gender, he pulls out a piece of paper that says “Key Arena Night II.” “We’re having a second night at Key Arena,” he says, referring to the concert venue in his Seattle hometown. Tickets go on sale today for the December 23 date.
But lest fans think this whole thing was a prank, he adds, “And Tricia really is pregnant.” No due date was revealed, however.
The rapper celebrated Sloane’s arrival two years ago with the track, “Growing Up (Sloane’s Song),” which randomly featured Ed Sheeran.
Seattle… Second time’s the charm.
