ABC/Image Group LAA few days ago in a message to fans, Sam Smith said “something new” would be coming “very very very very soon.” Well, he’s keeping his word.
On Friday, Sam posted a photo of a billboard in London — according to Britain’s Official Charts Company, it’s located in the London neighborhood of Shoreditch — that shows a photo of him, along with the words “September 8.”
The release — presumably a single, but possibly an entire album — will be Sam’s first new music since his 2015 Oscar-winning James Bond theme, “Writing’s on the Wall,” from the movie SPECTRE. His Grammy-winning debut album, In the Lonely Hour, came out in 2014.
