The singer posted a message to fans on social media, thanking everyone for their patience as she puts together her new album.
“It’s been a long recovery and I want to make sure that this is perfect for you guys!!” Avril writes, referencing her lengthy battle with Lyme disease.
She adds, “You only deserve my best effort and that’s what I’m going to deliver! I can’t wait to share the new music I’m working on, I promise it’ll be here before you know!!”
Last year, Avril wrote on Instagram that her struggle with Lyme disease was inspiring her new music. Her last release, her self-titled fifth studio album, came out in 2013.
