As People magazine points out, in one scene, Taylor is dressed as her nerdy character in her 2008 video for “You Belong With Me,” complete with a homemade t-shirt that says “Junior Jewels,” and a bunch of names written on it in marker. But this time, the names all belong to Taylor’s famous BFFs.
The ones that are visible include Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, Lena Dunham, Taylor’s childhood best friend Abigail Anderson, the three HAIM sisters — Este, Alana and Danielle — plus Martha Hunt, Claire Kislinger, Todrick Hall and even actor Patrick Stewart, who was made an “honorary” squad member a while back.
Notable names that are missing: Lorde, Ruby Rose and Karlie Kloss. However, we assume they’re all still members in good standing.
By the way, Taylor gave songwriting credit to the members of one-hit-wonders Right Said Fred on her new single, because it sounds very much like their 1991 #1 hit, “I’m Too Sexy.” But lead singer Richard Fairbrass tells Yahoo that while Taylor’s team gave them a heads-up, they didn’t actually hear the song until it was released.
He’s happy about it, though, and reveals that Taylor even sent him some flowers and a nice note. “It’s just nice!” he says. “It’s nice when people are nice.”
Fairbrass also says he’d love to do a live mashup with Taylor at some point.
