Universal Music GroupAs promised when she teased it Monday, Katy Perry has released the video for her latest single, “Swish Swish.”
The video’s presented as a slapstick basketball showdown between The Sheep and The Tigers, with Katy “Kobe” Perry as The Tigers’ star player, even though she’s not exactly a pro on the court. Even an infusion of “Kobe Sweat” halfway through the game can’t help Katy’s game. It’s not until Nicki Minaj and her dance crew arrives two-thirds of the way through to rap a break and tell Katy to “get it together” that she leads the Tigers to victory.
The video also features guest stars including Molly Shannon as The Tigers’ coach, Terry Crews as The Sheep’s coach, Hafthor Julíus “Thor” Bjornsson — aka the actor who plays “The Mountain” in Game of Thrones — as captain of The Sheep , Glee’s Jenna Ushkowitz, and Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo.
Basketball great-turned-sportscaster Bill Walton and sportscaster Rich Eisen provide commentary for the game. And make sure you stick around long enough to watch Terry Crews’ head explode.
“Swish Swish” is the third single release from Katy’s Witness album, which dropped last June.
