Updated: A shaken Britney Spears escorted offstage after crasher disrupts show

Denise TruscelloBritney Spears’ return to Las Vegas on Wednesday night didn’t go very well: in the middle of the show, a random guy rushed onstage and was subdued by security guards and dancers.

In video posted by E! Online, Britney has just finished “(You Drive Me) Crazy” when a guy runs onstage, followed by a security guard, who starts dragging him away.  All of Britney’s dancers run towards the guy as more security guards approach Britney and stop the show.

“Is something OK?” she asks. “What’s going on?”  Then, her knees buckle and she clutches one of the guards, presumably shocked at the news of the stage invasion.  She’s then ushered offstage as fans chant “a**hole!”

According to E!, the man was ejected from the AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood.  The Las Vegas Police Department has confirmed to ABC News that the man, 37-year-old Jesse Webb, was arrested for trespassing, and transported to the Clark County Detention Center.  Incidentally, despite reports, Webb did not have any weapons.

Britney will return to the stage for more performances on Friday and Saturday.
