Terence Patrick/CBSWhile James Corden‘s Carpool Karaoke episode featuring his friend Adele is probably the most-watched installment of the popular series, she wasn’t his favorite guest of all time. James says he enjoyed taping the episode with the singer who WAS his favorite so much that actually he became “depressed” when it was over.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Corden says, “I mean, it’s a bit like picking your children…but in terms of the one I’ve enjoyed doing the most, I think it was probably Bruno [Mars]. Like, I really, I got a bit depressed afterwards…Because I’d been looking forward to it for so long and I’m such a fan.”
“When we were done, I was like, ‘Oh. I’m not gonna get to do that again,'” he adds. “And so that was incredible.”
Corden’s signature segment now has its own spinoff, Carpool Karaoke: The Series, which debuted on Apple Music Tuesday night. Upcoming episodes will feature the entire Cyrus family – Miley, Billy Ray and more — as well as basketball superstar LeBron James.
