ABC/FremantleMedia/19 EntertainmentEast Coast auditions for ABC’s American Idol reboot are kicking off at Disney World.
The American Idol bus is making its first stop in Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida on Thursday, August 17. Past Idol winners Jordin Sparks, Kris Allen and Ruben Studdard will be on hand to greet participants.
When the bus leaves at the end of the day, aspiring singers will still have a shot to audition via the American Idol pop-up audition kiosk, which will be set up at Disney Springs from Friday, August 18 through Friday, September 15.
The West Coast auditions will kick off August 17 as well, in Portland, Oregon.
So far, Katy Perry has been the only judge officially announced. Ryan Seacrest will be returning as host when the new American Idol premieres on ABC next year.
