Backstreet Boys gearing up for “a busy couple of years” but Nick Carter says, “I can't complain”

Photo by Denise Truscello/WireImageThe Backstreet Boys resurgence is real. Between their hugely successful Larger Than Life Las Vegas residency and a new album on the way, Nick Carter says the group is in for a busy couple of years.

“Right now we are still staying in Vegas,” Nick tells ABC Radio. “We have extended our stay out there and…right now we have another 52 shows but on the books right now is November is now on sale and so is February for next year.”

In between shows, Nick says they’ll be recording their next album. Earlier this year, they signed a major new record deal with RCA.

“I’d say you should be expecting a new single hopefully by the end of the year and then right after that, an album very soon after that and then a tour,” Nick says.

The tour will coincide with their Vegas residency dates, so prepare for a lot of chances to see BSB in action.

“We’ll be able to tour at the same time as coming back to Vegas so we’ll jump on the road a little bit, the traveling circus, and then we’ll come back to Las Vegas,” Nick says. “It’s gonna be a really busy couple of years, hopefully, but I can’t complain. It hasn’t been this big for a long time.”

Next month, BSB will join country duo Florida Georgia Line for an episode of CMT Crossroads. The two groups recently scored a number one country hit with their collaboration, “God, Your Mama and Me.” Their episode premieres Wednesday, August 30 at 10 p.m. ET.
