When Hailee Steinfeld isn’t recording hit songs like “Starving” and “Most Girls,” she’s an Oscar-nominated actress who’s quickly become a Hollywood A-lister. Her latest project, according to Variety, is a new film in the Transformers franchise.
The singer and actress is in talks to star in Bumblebee, a spinoff of the Transformers movies. While the plot isn’t known, and Hailee’s character also is under wraps, the movie will focus on Bumblebee, the small yellow-and-black Autobot which has been featured in all of Michael Bay‘s Transformers films.
This movie, which Bay isn’t directing, will be part of the Transformers universe, but won’t necessarily follow the timeline of the previous films.
Hailee, who received rave reviews and a Golden Globe nod for her role in the movie The Edge of Seventeen last year, will next be seen in Pitch Perfect 3.
