Brendan WalterAfter teasing that she’d have a new single “rising soon,” Lorde has now confirmed that “soon” means “this Friday.”
On Twitter, Lorde posted a lyric snippet of the new single: “Every night/I live I die/feel the party in my bones.” She also posted the song’s release date — Friday, June 2 — as well as the release time, which will be 2 p.m. in New York City, where she recorded her new album, and 6 a.m. in her home country of New Zealand.
The song will be the follow-up to “Green Light,” the first single from her sophomore album Melodrama, which is due out June 16.
