Randee St. NicholasIf you were planning to see Britney Spears in Las Vegas, there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that Britney’s Piece of Me residency at the Axis theater at Planet Hollywood is coming to an end. The good news is that Britney may well be returning with a new Vegas residency in the future.
Britney’s Las Vegas manager tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Britney will not be renewing her deal with Caesars Entertainment when it expires at the end of the year. “We are done with this show, and our next move is undecided,” the manager, Larry Rudolph, tells the paper.
But that doesn’t mean that Britney won’t return to Vegas with a new show eventually. “Britney basically sells out every show, and she loves Las Vegas, she loves performing in Vegas, and Vegas is a possibility going forward,” he said.
Britney’s current Piece of Me run ended Saturday, with more shows scheduled from May 3 through May 30. But Britney is heading overseas for shows in the Philippines and Israel in June and July. After that, her plans are unknown.
“She might tour, she might work on a new album,” Rudolph said. “It’s too early to talk specifics about anything.”
