Get swept up in Sia and Pink’s new duet, “Waterfall”

RCA RecordsGet ready to let Sia and Pink’s new duet, “Waterfall,” wash over you. The song — produced by Norwegian duo Stargate and out today — is a bumping, dancehall-inspired track about being swept up in another person.

“I’ve lost control/I paddle but you’re too strong/But I gotta trust your flow/But I’ve lost control/And babe it’s a relief to know/I got you keeping me float/When I’m in your waterfall,” they sing on the chorus.

Stargate — comprised of Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel Eriksen — is the team behind hits from Beyonce, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Selena Gomez among others. The two talked to Billboard about landing Sia and Pink for this collaboration.

“This song is something that [Sia] had done and hadn’t really thought about who it was for,” Tor Erik says. “It was really her idea to bring Pink in — she said, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it if I can do it with Pink.’ And we obviously said ‘Absolutely! That would be great!’”

Mikkel adds, “When Pink came to the studio, she was also very loose and effortless and supportive. She said, ‘I love doing features, because I feel like I can get out of my own way.’ It was really impressive to watch her kill it in the studio.”
