John Shearer/Getty Images via ABCIt looks like rapper Ty Dolla $ign‘s Christmas won’t be very merry: TMZ reports that he’s been indicted on drug charges that include felony possession of cocaine.
In addition to that charge, TMZ cites court documents that state Ty has also been indicted for felony possession of THC and misdemeanor possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
The charges stem from a September incident in Atlanta, Georgia when cops allegedly found the drugs in Ty’s bag. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison. According to TMZ, during the bust, Ty was traveling with six other people, but he was the only one who was charged.
The rapper has had a big 2018: His collabo with Post Malone, “Psycho” — from Post’s Grammy-nominated album beerbongs and bentleys — hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Ty is also featured on Christina Aguilera’s latest album Liberation, and on the recently released The Greatest Showman: Reimagined.
Ty is dating Lauren Jauregui; he collaborated with her group Fifth Harmony on their hit 2016 single “Work from Home.” Earlier this month, she told US Weekly, “He’s amazing. He’s super supportive and super loving…I appreciate it very much.”
