Post Malone to perform on “New Year's Rockin' Eve” from Brooklyn

Getty Images For DCP via ABC/Jeff Kravitz/AMA2018It’s very likely that Post Malone will be the first artist you’ll see — and hear — in 2019.

That’s because Posty is performing at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on December 31, and just after the clock strikes midnight, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest will go to a performance from that concert.  It’ll be the artist’s first time performing on the legendary ABC show.  It’s not clear if it’ll be live, or a pre-recorded performance from earlier in the concert.

Post Malone received four Grammy nominations Friday morning.

As previously reported, the Hollywood Party portion of New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will include performances by Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Foster the People, Dua Lipa, Ella Mai, Charlie Puth and Macklemore with Skylar Grey.

Ciara will host the Hollywood portion of the show; Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy will hold things down live from New York’s Times Square.  There will also be a countdown from the Central time zone, as Lucy Hale rings in the new year from New Orleans.  More performers will be announced in the coming days.
