Susan Atrach, of Ridefield Park, New Jersey, has been accused of illegally gaining access to the email accounts of both Selena and an associate of the singer several times between June 2015 and February 2016. She allegedly stole digital property from the accounts and posted it online.

The 22-year-old suspect is charged with five felony counts of identity theft; five felony counts of accessing and using computer data to commit fraud or to control or obtain money, property or data; and one felony count of accessing and using computer data or taking supporting documentation without permission.

Atrach is expected to be arraigned on or before August 27. She faces a possible maximum sentence of nine years and eight months in state prison if convicted as charged.
