Twenty One Pilots announce new album & tour; listen to two new songs now

Image Group LA/ABCTwenty One Pilots are back in a big way. After a week of cryptic teasers, the “Stressed Out” duo has announced a new album and a North American tour, and released two new songs.

The album, the follow-up to 2015’s smash-hit Blurryface, is titled Trench, and will arrive on October 5. It’ll feature the new singles “Jumpsuit” and “Nico and the Niners,” both of which are available now for digital download.

“Jumpsuit” is accompanied by a music video, which seems to reflect TOP’s transition from Blurryface to the Trench era. In the visual, streaming now on YouTube, a red-clad horseman rides frontman Tyler Joseph, who’s wearing a yellow-and-black jumpsuit. As the rider approaches Joseph, he leaves black marks on his neck, seemingly a nod to the black makeup the musician wore during the Blurryface live shows.

As for the tour, the North American leg will kick off October 16 in Nashville, and will conclude November 21 in Kansas City, Missouri. Tickets to the trek, dubbed the Bandito tour, will go on sale to the general public next Friday, July 20 at 10 a.m. local time. You can register for pre-sale tickets via Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program now via TwentyOnePilots.com.
