Ariana Grande marks one-year Manchester bombing anniversary: “I love you with all of me”

ABC/Randy HolmesIt was one year ago today that 23 people were killed and 139 injured when a suicide bomber set off an explosive device outside of Manchester Arena in the U.K. following a concert there by Ariana Grande, who noted the occasion Tuesday with a message of love and support.

“Thinking of you all today and every day,” Ariana tweeted.  “I love you with all of me and am sending you all of the light and warmth I have to offer on this challenging day.”

There’s also a national minute of silence scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. U.K. time, 8:30 a.m. ET, to remember the victims.

Ariana of course has remained involved in the follow-up to the bombing.  She helped organize the massive One Love Manchester benefit concert June 4, at which she also performed along with Justin BieberKaty PerryColdplayPharrellMiley Cyrus and others.  The benefit was broadcast globally and raised over ten million pounds in 24 hours — about $13.3 million — for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham also tweeted in observance of the sober anniversary: “Today we come together, we remember each of the 22 people whose lives were taken & we re-commit to supporting their families & all affected.”
