Lukas Graham says band's upcoming album will be about “a dad hitting 30”

ABC/Randy HolmesLukas Graham, the Danish band named for its frontman, Lukas Graham Forchhammer, scored worldwide success and three Grammy nods for their smash hit “Seven Years.”  Now, Lukas has announced that the band will release a new album in 2018, and that it’ll reflect the changes in his personal life in the last few years.

In September of 2016, Lukas and his girlfriend welcomed their first child, Viola, and this year, he’ll turn 30.  During a Twitter Q&A with fans on Monday, Lukas described the band’s new album as the “Storytelling of a dad hitting 30 reflecting on his life and what’s ar[ound] him.”

And when asked to reveal the title of one of the songs on the new album, Lukas replied, “Lullaby.”

He also revealed that the album would arrive “before summer,” and at the moment, there are no special guests on it.  But when asked if he and the band would ever collaborate with Ed Sheeran, Lukas wrote, “Maybe.”

Lukas Graham’s self-titled U.S. debut came out in April of 2016 and reached #3 on the album chart.
