Troye Sivan shows us his “Good Side”

Hedi SlimaneFollowing the release of the sexy, dance-y track “My My My!,” Troye Sivan has now released another new track from his upcoming album, and it’s got a completely different sound.

The Good Side” is a dreamy-sounding, mostly acoustic song that finds Troye apologizing to a former lover.  According to Genius, it’s about how Troye used their relationship as the basis for the songs that made him famous, and now he feels badly about it.

“I got the good side of you/Sent it out into the blue/The people danced to the sound of your heart/The world sang along to it falling apart,” Troye sings. “But I sympathize, and I recognize/And baby, I apologize/That I got the good side of things.”

Both songs will be on Troye’s new album, due out this spring.  This weekend, he’ll be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.  The Australian native is also the face of the Valentino Spring 2018 menswear ad campaign.
